Spring
Spring is in the air
The winter air is clearing from North Carolina and we are starting to venture outside. With the temperature increasing and the economy taking a turn for the worse, we have decided to plant a garden. This Saturday, Bri and I went to Lowe’s and purchased our seeds to get our starter plants going. On Sunday, we spent the day enjoying each others company and planting our seeds. She is so excited about having a garden that today when we came home, she rushed outside to see if there were any plants. To her surprise, she had some herbs sprouting up through the dirt.
What did she pick out to plant?
Daddy’s favorite: Broccoli
Summer Time favorite: Watermelon
Her least favorite: Tomato’s
Halloween Fun time: Pumpkins
This weekend, we will start the process of preparing the ground, by tilling it up and mixing some manure in. This should give us the right PH balance levels to have more than our share of fresh vegetables this summer.
This is our first garden so we welcome any advice anyone would care to share. Please check back to see our progress.
